Porch Family Cookbook
This cookbook is more than a collection of recipes — it’s a way to preserve our family’s history, traditions, and culture for future generations. So much of who we are lives in the meals shared at kitchen tables, holiday gatherings, cookouts, church functions, and Sunday dinners. These recipes carry stories, memories, techniques, and flavors passed down through love, survival, creativity, and community.
Whether it’s a family recipe that’s been handed down for generations, an original recipe you created yourself, or a dish you learned somewhere along the way that became part of your story, we welcome it. What matters most is that it’s something meaningful you’d want to share with future generations.
In a world where traditions can easily be lost over time, protecting our culture means documenting the things that connect us — not just the food itself, but the people, moments, and experiences behind it. This cookbook is a celebration of our roots, our resilience, and the legacy we want our children and grandchildren to remember and continue.
If a recipe requires “don’t ask for measurements, just feel it in your spirit,” please make sure to note that or give a rough estimate so the rest of us at least have a fighting chance. 😂
